Friendly Food

We pride ourselves on cooking real, honest food made from scratch. Food meant to be enjoyed with friends. We cook with fresh, often organic produce and utilize local Wisconsin suppliers for our dairy, maple syrup, sausage, honey, coffee and more. We say “no” to things like high fructose corn syrup and bleached white flour, while making all of our dressings, sauces and desserts in-house. We cook like we’re cooking for our friends, because that’s what we hope you’ll leave our cafés as.

Our Food Ethos

Here at the Lowlands Group, we update our restaurants’ menus several times a year. Sure, part of it is to make things fresh and interesting for our guests, but more importantly, we view every new dish we create as way to improve on what has come before. While we don’t proclaim that all of our dishes are healthy (OMG, have you tried the bitterballen?!), we do pride ourselves on serving the most craveable, delicious food made from scratch with honest, transparent ingredients.

  • Made from Scratch

    All food, including our dressings, sauces and desserts are made in-house, from-scratch, every day.

  • Fresh Bread. Made By Neighbors.

    All of our breads and buns are made fresh daily by our local partner, Miller Baking, using our culinary team’s unique recipes utilizing only unbromated, unbleached wheat flour. Enriched, bleached white flour is not allowed.

  • NO HFCS

    While pervasive in the food supply, high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is not welcome at Lowlands Group.* It’s not even in our ketchup.

     

    *To keep our breakfast prices reasonable, our standard breakfast syrup does contain HFCS. However, we do offer 100% maple syrup from for a nominal cost for those who would like it.

  • Only the Good Beef

    All of our burgers are made with grass-fed, grain-finished beef with zero antibiotics.

  • Seafood

    We have a continually updated “no-fly” list for seafood items that we will not carry due to safety issues or unsustainable fishery practices.

  • Healthy Kids

    Our kids entrees come with fresh fruit and veggies with every meal – at least we can say we tried, parents.

  • Gluten-Free & Vegetarian Options

    We offer gluten-free menus to those who request them, and offer a wide selection of vegetarian options throughout our menus.
