The Greatest Midwest Cycling Tour Rolls Back into Milwaukee

It’s back — and bigger, faster, and louder than ever. The Tour of America’s Dairyland, the Midwest’s premier cycling tour and one of the largest competitive road cycling series in the country, is making its triumphant return to Milwaukee this June. And this year, the action comes right to the heart of some of our favorite neighborhoods, with race days taking place at four of our locations.

Mark your calendars and grab your cowbells — here’s where to catch the thrills:

• Thursday, June 26 – Bay View – Centraal Grand Café & Tappery
• Saturday, June 28 – Downer Ave – Cafe Hollander on Downer Avenue
• Sunday, June 29 – Tosa Village – Cafe Hollander and Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club

Each day promises a high-energy, festival-like atmosphere with food, drinks, patio hangs, and nonstop race action as pro and amateur riders alike tear through Milwaukee’s streets. Plus, mix your own margaritas by bicycle! Look for the blue stationary bike and get yourself an ice cold marg. 🍋‍🟩

$10,000 Lowlands Lion Prime Up for Grabs

But it’s not just glory they’re chasing. The granfinale weekend brings the coveted Lowlands Lion Prime, a sort of “race within a race”, back to Wauwatosa Village on the 29th — a hefty $10,000 prize up for grabs. Riders will battle it out lap after lap during the granfinale weekend, strategically positioning themselves for the announced sprint laps. During these sprint laps, points multiply. Double the points in Bay View and Shorewood, triple the points at Downer, and quadruple the points on the final day at the Café Hollander Tosa Village Classic.

This jackpot prize is made possible thanks to our collaboration with THREE SIXTY and Central Standard Craft Distillery, who are proud to keep the tradition alive and growing for Milwaukee’s cycling community.
