Café Under Construction!

Café Benelux will be temporarily closed for renovations starting February 26th.

We take our food, bier, and vibes seriously. That’s why we’ve made the (major) decision to give Café Benelux a (major) facelift. Construction is slated to begin on Monday, February 26th, which means that Benelux’s last day in service will be Sunday, February 25th. This also means that Friday, February 24th will be the last day to catch our seasonal fish fry. Also important to note: to-go ordering and catering will come to a halt during the renovation period. What else is coming, you ask? Read on.

Renovations will include a completely reimagined bar with 50% more seating, additional booths, including a VIP booth for larger groups. Bigger and better TV screens will be added in the bar area, as well as a new and improved host stand. Additional improvements to operations will optimize service for our lovely guests, also known as YOU.

On the food and beverage side, the majority of Benelux’s existing staples will remain the same, with several new additions. (Fear not; mussels will remain on the menu along with brunch favorites.) Three new tap towers will be added to the bar, two of which will be exclusive to Café Benelux. Both the Duvel tower and the 3-tap Chimay tower will be the only of their kind found in the entire state of Wisconsin! Wine on tap and a revamped cocktail menu will round out the restaurant’s extensive beverage offerings.

We plan on reopening in early April, just in time for patio season. In the meantime, however, while construction is underway… Take a detour to one of our sister restaurants.

Headin’ south: Enjoy eclectic entrees and unlimited bier at our 81-foot bar (the biggest in Milwaukee) just south of Benelux at Centraal Grand Café & Tappery in Bay View.

Up north: If you typically travel to Benelux from Milwaukee’s northern suburbs, might we recommend making a pitstop at the cozy Café Hollander on Downer Ave.?
