April Bier of the Month: Piraat 7
Another top tier bier from Brouwerij Van Steenberge, Piraat 7 can be enjoyed at all Lowlands Group grand cafés. This strategically-hopped Belgian Tripel walks the IPA line with soft floral and bright, citrusy hop flavors. It is a true “living bier” that’s refermented in both the keg and the bottle. Much like a pirate, Piraat 7 is deceptively drinkable, with notes of honey, warming spice, fresh bread, and golden raisin. Unlike some other early-80s success stories, Piraat 7 is as sought-after today as it was when it was launched in 1982.
