It’s time to get back to racing! We are elated to announce two cycling races near and dear to us will be in part of Tour of America’s Dairyland later this month. It’s no secret that bikes are part of our DNA, and we couldn’t be happier to sponsor the US’s largest multi-day bike racing series.
As supporters of Tour of America’s Dairyland since 2009, we’re excited to welcome cycling fans back to racing this summer. Check out our plans for this year’s series below:
Otto Wenz Café Hollander Downer Classic
Thursday, June 24 from 9:00am-9:00pm
2608 N Downer Ave, Milwaukee, WI
Historic Downer Avenue is home to one of the most famous urban criterium courses in the country. Global in reach and extremely local in flavor, this race promises to be one of the highlights of cycling in Wisconsin this summer. Café Hollander Downer will be hosting a bier garden into the street for a block takeover. Grab a bier and front row seats to the winner’s circle for this historic race.
Café Hollander Tosa Village Classic presented by Frank and Larry
Sunday, June 27 from 10:30am-8:30pm
7677 W State St, Wauwatosa, WI
Café Hollander Tosa and Buckatabon team up for this family-friendly event and final race of the series. New this year, this course will wind through the Tosa Village with the start/finish line in front of Waterstone Bank on State Street. Spectate while watching the pros swoop past through “Frank and Larry’s Turn 1” Beer Garden for an epic evening criterium.
Lowlands Lion Two-Day Prime Sprint Competition
In collaboration with Ben’s Cycle & Fitness and Central Standard Distillery, we’re challenging racers to compete in a two-day competition. This annual sprint competition acts as a “race within the race” at the Thursday and Sunday events. During the Downer and Tosa races, a sprint lap is announced, and the top three finishers accrue points. At the end of the two days of racing, the racers with the most points win prime prizes valued at $6,000.
